Branka Bakšić Mitić (rođena 1961. godine)[1] humanitarna je aktivistkinja i dogradonačelnica Gline iz redova srpske nacionalne manjine izabrana kao neovisna 'kandidatkinja grupe birača'.[2][3] Dobitnica je nagrade za Strašne žene Fierce Women WoW koju joj je dodijelio portal VoxFeminae.net za njezin doprinos rodnoj ravnopravnosti i socijalnoj pravednosti u Hrvatskoj.[4] Zajedno s Majom Sever i Matejom Medlobi pokrenula je inicijativu Ljudi za ljude koja u Zagrebu organizira prikupljanje pomoći za stanovništvo Banije koje živi u teškim materijalnim uslovima.[4] Široj javnosti postala je poznata zbog svojeg djelovanja na terenu nakon potresa kod Petrinje 2020. Tim povodom pozvana je kao gošća emisije Nedjeljom u dva 3. januara 2021.[5]

Biografija

Branka Bakšić Mitić sa 10 je godina ostala bez oca te je odrasla uz samohranu majku.[4] Udana je i ima kćer Maju i unuku Andreju.[6] Početak rata sa porodicom ju je dočekao u Njemačkoj gdje je ostala određeno vrijeme nakon čega se preselila u Zagreb.[3] U Glinu se vratila 2010. godine.[3]

Na kandidaturu na lokalnim izborima 2017. nagovorili su je prijatelji koji su sakupili i potrebne potpise.[6] Nakon što je izabrana, Branka Bakšić Mitić istakla je kako kao zamjenica gradonačelnika nema nikakve ovlasti kao i da joj je grad odbio i zahtjev za korištenje službenog vozila u svrhu dostave humanitarne pomoći.[7]
