Navashinsky Destrict (Roushie: Нава́шинский райо́н) is an admeenistrative[1] an municipal[3] destrict (raion), ane o the forty-three in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Roushie. It is locatit in the soothwast o the oblast. The aurie o the destrict is 1,277.5 square kilometer (493.2 sq mi).[1] Its admeenistrative centre is the toun o Navashino.[1] Population: 24,296 (2010 Census);[4] 27,617 (2002 Census);[7] 31,537 (1989 Census).[8] The population o Navashino accoonts for 67.6% o the destrict's total population.[4]

The destrict wis establisht in 1944 an gien its present name in 1960.[1]
