The ceety is the seicont lairgest in Angolae, efter the caipital ceety, Luanda. Huambo is a main hub on the Caminho de Ferro de Benguela (CFB) (the Benguela Railway), which runs frae the port o Benguela tae the Congo border, an is served bi the Albano Machado Airport (umwhile Nova Lisboa Airport).
