Первый сезон SLTV League of Legends StarSeries проходил со 2 марта по 27 апреля 2014 года.

Чемпионом лиги и обладателем 15 тыс долларов США из призового фонда стал коллектив «Carpe Diem»[2].

Квалификация

В регулярных матчах первого сезона StarSeries принимали участие 16 команд[3]:

  • Приглашение от организаторов (4 команды)
  • Западно-европейская квалификация (2 команды)
  • СНГ квалификация (10 команд)[4].

По результатам регулярного чемпионата определяются 4 команды которые играют в серии плей-офф до двух поражений (швейцарская система) с матчами до двух побед («лучший из двух») кроме гранд-финала, проводящегося до трёх побед («лучший из трёх») со счёта 1:0 для команды из верхней сетки[5].

В итоге состав 1-го сезона StarSeries был следующим:

Регулярный сезон (онлайн)

Обзор

По итогам регулярного чемпионата в плей-офф прошли команды «Team Dragon», «Carpe Diem» и «Internationally V». Занявшие первую строчку «Departed» из-за отборочных в LCS не смогли участвовать в плей-офф — их заменил коллектив «Good Team Multigaming» занявший по итогам регулярки пятое место[6].

Команды «RoX», «Team Empire», «The Nacebo Effect», «5 Solo Players», «MayaM Gaming», «Tvoi Batya» и «Little Chase» закрепили за собой слот в StarSeries на следующий сезон.

«Ninjas in Pyjamas», «i2HARD Esport Team», «Power in Unity» и «Team NOA» выбыли из соревнования ещё до завершения онлайн-части[7].

LAN-финалы

Место проведения

LAN-финалы должны были состояться на Украине с 10 по 13 апреля 2014 года на Киев Киберспорт Арене[8]. Финальное соревнование было перенесено в Россию, в павильон № 11.1 выставочного центра «Сокольники»[5], также была назначена новая дата проведения: 25 — 27 апреля 2014 года[9].

«Internationally V» перед началом плей-офф сменили название на «Revival Dragons».
