Carlingford Mountain SAC este o arie protejată (arie specială de conservare — SAC[1], sit de importanță comunitară — SCI) din Irlanda întinsă pe o suprafață de 3.085,21 ha, integral pe uscat.

Localizare

Centrul sitului Carlingford Mountain SAC este situat la coordonatele 54°03′31″N 6°16′17″W / 54.0587°N 6.2713°V ({{PAGENAME}}).

Înființare

Situl Carlingford Mountain SAC a fost declarat sit de importanță comunitară în mai 1998 pentru a proteja 1 specie de animale. Situl a fost protejat și ca arie specială de conservare în martie 2022[1].[2][3]

Biodiversitate

Situată în ecoregiunea atlantică, aria protejată conține 10 habitate naturale: Pajiști umede nord-atlantice cu Erica tetralix, Pajiști uscate europene, Pajiști alpine și boreale, Formațiuni ierboase bogate în specii de Nardus, dezvoltate pe substraturi silicioase în zone montane (și în zone submontane, în Europa continentală), Turbării de acoperire (* exclusiv pentru turbării active), Mlaștini turboase de tranziție și turbării mișcătoare, Mlaștini alcaline, Grohotișuri silicioase de la nivelul montan până la nivelul zăpezii (Androsacetalia alpinae și Galeopsietalia ladani), Pante stâncoase calcaroase cu vegetație casmofită, Pante stâncoase silicioase cu vegetație casmofită.[3]

La baza desemnării sitului se află o specie protejată[2] de păsări: șoim călător (Falco peregrinus).

Pe lângă speciile protejate, pe teritoriul sitului au mai fost identificate 1 specie de plante.[2]
