O Furacão Camille foi um furacão ativo de 14 a 22 de agosto de 1969, e que foi considerado de Categoria 5 pela Escala de Furacões de Saffir-Simpson com ventos de 190 mph (305 km/h), chegando a 210 mph (340 km/h).[1]

Camille causou no total 259 mortes e prejuízos de 1,42 bilhões de dólares. Afetando os Estados de Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, e os Estados da Região Sul dos Estados Unidos.

Ao total, 8 931 pessoas ficaram desabrigadas, 5 662 casas foram destruídas, e 13 915 casas sofreram algum dano importante.
