Fungo dimórfico

Os fungos dimórficos são fungos que podem existir nas formas bolor, hifal, filamentosa,[1] ou como levedura. Um exemplo é Penicillium marneffei:[2]

Várias espécies são potenciais patógenos, incluindo Coccidioides immitis,[3] Paracoccidioides brasiliensis,[3] Candida albicans,[4] Ustilago maydis,[4] Blastomyces dermatitidis, Histoplasma capsulatum, e Sporothrix schenckii.
