José Mariano Michelena (født 14. juli 1772 i Morelia i Michoacán, død 10. mai 1852 i Morelia i Michoacán) var en meksikansk general og politiker. Han var en av forkjemperne for Mexicos selvstendighet. Han var medlem av Mexicos provisoriske regjering 1823–1824 etter Det første meksikanske keiserrikets fall.

Michelena er også kjent for å ha introdusert kaffen til Mexico, og han dyrka kaffeplanter på haciendaen sin nær Uruapan.
