Johs. H. Giæver AS er en produsent av norsk tørrfisk med virksomheter på flere nordnorske steder; Havnnes, Djupvik, Henningsvær og Kongsfjord.

Havnnes på Uløya er Norges nordligste bevarte handelssted som fortsatt er i drift. Firma Johs. H. Giæver AS driver idag med produksjon og eksport av tørrfisk og klippfisk, samt overnatting og utleie av båter.

Johannes Holmboe Giæver d.e. var født i 1844, og kom til Havnnes som handelsbetjent i 1866. Etter at han ble gift med Ovidia Fredrikke Lyng Hallen, datter av Jens Severin Hallen og hans hustru Aanne Margrethe Holmboe, overtok han sin svigerfamilies virksomhet, som han fortsatte under navnet Johs. H. Giæver. Dette var i 1868. Men virksomheten i slektens eie er atskillig eldre. Den forretning som Johs. H. Giæver overtok, var startet av Thomas A. Lyng i 1795, ifølge kopi av kongelig bevilling.

Thomas A. Lyng var gift med den nå legendariske «Mor Lyng» som selv fikk tolv barn hvorav ingen levde opp. «Mor Lyng» bestyrte sitt store gods, «Skjærvøgodset», som omfattet mer enn fjerdeparten av hele Troms fylke. I mangel av egne barn tok hun til seg 32 pleiebarn, som alle vokste opp på Havnnes. En av disse var hennes brordatters sønn, Jens Severin Hallen, som arvet og overtok Havnnes etter henne.
