Hjalmar Munthe-Kaas Lund (født 11. august 1913 i Trondheim, død 16. juni 1987) var en norsk zoolog, ornitolog og motstandsmann under andre verdenskrig.

Han var sønn av direktør Johan Grøn Lund og Marie Schelven Munthe-Kaas.[1]

Etter examen artium 1935 tok han cand.real. 1941 og pedagogisk eksamen 1941, etter i 1939 å ha foretatt studiereise til Belgia, Frankrike, Italia, Tyskland og Danmark. I 1942 var han lærer ved Valler høyere skole i Bærum.[1]

Under okkupasjonen deltok han i Milorgs aksjonsgruppe Aks.13.000 [2].

Som forsker var han 1940–44 tilknyttet Statens Forsøksvirksomhet for ferskvann, og fra 1942 til 1949 var han også engasjert av Statens viltundersøkelser.[1]

Han ble i 1947 stipendiat ved Zoologisk museum (Oslo) og ledet en zoologisk ekspedisjon til Vestre Spitsbergen. Våren 1948 foreleste han ved Den sørtrønderske fagskole for yrkesfiskere.[1] Senere var han en tid konstituert bestyrer ved Tromsø Museum, foreleser i jaktlære ved Norges landbrukshøgskole og fra 1970 lektor ved Universitetet i Oslo.[3]

Han utga etterhvert flere artikler i nasjonale tidsskrift og ble en kjent formidler og forfatter av en rekke fagbøker.

Han var sekretær for Norges Jeger- og Fiskerforbund i perioden 1945–1946, og i den forbindelse ble han invitert til å holde flere kåserier i NRK Radio. Han var hyppig brukt som naturekspert også i andre sammenhenger.[4]

Han bodde på Gjettum utenfor Oslo, der han fikk de lokale myndigheter til å etablere et turveinett og Kolsåstoppen naturreservat. Han var æresmedlem i Østlandske Naturvernforening.[3]
