Hairspray er en amerikansk-britisk romantisk komedie, musikal og ungdomsfilm fra 2007. Filmen har skuespillere som John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, Zac Efron, Queen Latifah og mange andre. Filmen er basert på Broadwaymusikalen Hairspray fra 2002, som igjen var basert på John Waters' dansekomedie fra 1988 med samme navn.

Filmen utspiller seg i Baltimore i 1962 og handler om den overvektige tenåringsjenta Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) som elsker å danse. Musikalen følger hennes ferd mot å bli en av danserne på den lokale tv-stasjonens ungdomsprogram The Corny Collins Show. Hun blir tatt inn og ligger godt an til å vinne Little Miss Hairspray-kåringen, til hoveddanser Amber von Tussle (Brittany Snow) og moren Velma von Tussles (Michelle Pfeiffer) store forskrekkelse, fordi vinneren av kåringen blir hoveddanser på tv-programmet. Tracy blir også involvert i kampen mot raseskille og segregering, og hun må velge mellom å danse på tv eller å stå sammen med de nye afroamerikanske vennene sine, Seaweed J. Stubbs (Elijah Kelley), Inez Stubbs (Taylor Parks) og moren deres, Maybelle «Motormouth» Stubbs (Queen Latifah), som ble utestengt fra tv-stasjonen av Velma von Tussle.
