2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot

2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot ble arrangert i Patriot Park i Kubinka i Moskva, Russland, og var det første verdensmesterskapet i dynamisk rifle. Matchen bestod av 30 løyper over 6 dager, og hadde 591 deltakere fra 40 nasjoner.

Opprinnelig skulle mesterskapet avholdes i 2016, men ble flyttet til 2017 for at byggingen av den nye skytebanen i Patriot Park skulle fullføres.[1]

Mesteparten av skivene var plassert mellom 60 til 100 meter, men de fleste løypene inneholdt også en del mål mellom 200 til 300 meter, hvilket gjorde forståelse av ballistikk viktig gjennom hele matchen ved at skytterne måtte bruke forskjellig innstilling på siktene og forskjellige siktepunkt på skivene.[2]

Teemu Rintala fra Finland tok gull i Open-divisjonen, som også var den største divisjonen i mesterskapet.

Open-divisjonen hadde 369 deltakere, og var dermed den største divisjonen i matchen (62,4 %).

Shoot-Off konkurransen

Shoot-Off var en publikumsvennlig én-mot-én elimineringscup som ble avholdt etter hovedmatchen. Den bestod av kvart-, semi-, bronse- og gullfinaler hvor de 16 beste i hver divisjon (overall) var kvalifisert, samt de 8 beste av kategoriskytterne.[3] Arrangementet ble kringkastet live på web-tv med kommentarer.[4]
