Исус им го дава прошталниот говор (Јован 14–17) на своите ученици

Ученик во христијанството — верен следбеник на Исус Христос. Изразот се среќава и во Новиот завет.

Во древно време, ученикот се сметал за следбеник на својот учител, кој активно го подражавал животот и учењата на учителот и чија цел била да стане „жива копија“ на наставникот.[1] Учеништвото не било нешто како студент во современа смисла; учеништвото било доброволно.[2]

Новиот завет содржи приказни за првите следбеници на Исус што биле со Него за време на Неговата служба. Христос ги поставил за апостолска служба: служба на дванаесетте, служба на седумдесетте, Големата задача, објавувањето на Радосната вест низ целиот свет. А исто и да ги поучуваат народите и да прават ученици на Христос.[3][4][5]

Исус забележал дека учеништвото имало висока цена.[6][7]
