Svītrainā ūdenszāle (latīņu: Glyceria striata) ir graudzāļu dzimtas suga, kas sastopama Ziemeļamerikas subarktiskajā joslā, kā arī Eiropas ziemeļdaļā, kur tā iespējams ir adventīva (ievazāta) suga vai relikts vietējais augs. Latvijā suga ir sastopama reti.

Augu grupas aug auglīgos egļu-lapkoku mežos, mitrās pļavās un aizaugušā kaļķakmens ieguves karjerā.

Suga ir ierakstīta Baltijas jūras reģiona Sarkanajā grāmatā un Latvijas Sarkanajā grāmatā 1. kategorijā.[1]

Apraksts

Svītrainā ūdenszāle ir daudzgadīgs, 50—110 cm garš lakstaugs ar stāvu, stingru stiebru. Lapas ir plakanas, 0,2—0,6 cm platas. Augam ir 0,1—0,2 cm īsa, smaila mēlīte. Ziedu skara ir skraja, nolīkstoša, 6—20 cm gara, ziedēšanas laikā ar zilganvioletu nokrāsu, augļu laikā rūsganbrūna. Vārpiņas ir aptuveni 0,4 cm īsas un strupas, olveidīgas, ar 3—6 ziediem. Arī vārpiņas kātiņš ir īss. Vārpiņas plēksnes ir strupas, plati lancetiskas un nevienādas. Ārējā zieda plēksne ir olveidīga, ar labi redzamu dzīslojumu, sevišķi izceļas sāndzīslas. Akota nav. Auglis ir sīks grauds. Zied jūnija beigās un jūlijā.[1]
