Reinholds Johans Ludvigs Samsons fon Himmelštjerns (Reinhold Johann Ludwig Samson von Himmelstiern; 1778-1858) bija vācbaltu tiesībnieks, dzejnieks. Studējis tiesības un filosofiju Leipcigā (1796-1798), Vidzemes bruņniecības kancelejas ierēdnis (1798-1802), bruņniecības notārs, arhīvos iepazinies ar Vidzemes vēsturi (1802-1807), konsistorijas asesors (1803), Tērbatas apriņķa zemes tiesnesis (1806-1818), Tērbatas un Pērnavas muižniecības pārstāvis Sv.Pēterburgā, Vidzemes likumu kodifikācijas komitejas loceklis (1818), tās priekšsēdētājs (1824).Vidzemes hoftiesas viceprezidents (1824-34), Vidzemes evaņģēliski luteriskās konsistorijas prezidents (1843-1851), hoftiesas prezidents (1851-55). Sv.Pēterburgā ķeizariskajā kancelejā nodarbojies ar Baltijas provinču tiesību kodifikāciju (1829-40). Iesniedzis bruņniecības komisijā projektus par tautskolu organizāciju (1841) un par zemnieku rentes māju pārdošanu zemniekiem (1845). Vidzemes landrāts (1827-55). Baltijas vēstures un senlietu biedrības prezidents (1838-1851). Sv.Pēterburgas brīvmūrnieku ložas „Zum flammenden Stern” brālis (1815-1822).
