Preiļu 1. vidusskola

Preiļu 1. vidusskola bija vispārējās izglītības iestāde Preiļos, Preiļu rajonā. Pirmā mācību iestāde Preiļu miestā. Darbojās līdz 1996. gadam.

Vēsture

1865.-1944. gads

1865. gadā Preiļu miestā dibināta pirmā mācību iestāde — Preiļu tautskola[1][2].

1900. gadā skola tiek pārveidota par divklasīgo skolu[2].

1904. gadā pie skolas tiek atvērta lauksaimniecības klase[2].

1920. gadā Preiļu tautskolai pievieno Preiļu četrgadīgo pilsētas skolu un izveido Preiļu pagasta sešklasīgo pamatskolu[2].

1944. gadā tiek piešķirts vidusskolas nosaukums[2].

1944.-1991. gads

1963. gadā uzcelta Preiļu 1. vidusskolas ēka Daugavpils ielā 34, Preiļos[3].

1991.-1996. gads

1996. gada 26. martā Ministru kabinets Preiļu 1. vidusskolai piešķir Valsts ģimnāzijas statusu[4], kā rezultātā Preiļu 1. vidusskola tiek reorganizēta un tiek izveidotas 2 mācību iestādes: Preiļu 1. pamatskola un Preiļu Valsts ģimnāzija.
