Rytų Bažnyčių kongregacija

Rytų Bažnyčių kongregacija (lot. Congregatio pro Ecclesiis Orientalibus) – viena iš Romos kurijos dikasterijų, kongregacija, atsakinga už ryšius su Rytų Katalikų bažnyčiomis.

Rytų Bažnyčių kongregacija padeda popiežiui palaikyti ryšius su tomis krikščioniškųjų Rytų bažnyčiomis, kurios pritaria vienybei su Roma ir pripažįsta popiežiaus viršenybę, tuo pat metu išlaikydamos savarankiškumą, savo liturgijas ir dvasines tradicijas.[1] Dauguma šių bažnyčių veikia Artimuosiuose Rytuose, taip pat Azijoje, Indijoje, Šiaurės ir Rytų Afrikoje, Vidurio ir Rytų Europoje. Nemažai šių bažnyčių narių gyvena diasporoje – visų pirma Šiaurės Amerikoje, bet taip pat Vakarų Europoje, Pietų Amerikoje ir Australijoje.

Istorija

Popiežius Grigalius XIII įkūrė Graikų reikalų kongregaciją, kuri turėjo reformuoti bazilijonų ordiną ir palaikyti bizantiškąsias apeigas. Popiežius Grigalius XV savo 1622 m. bulėje „Inscrutabili divinae providentiae“ klausimus, susijusius su Rytų Katalikų bažnyčiomis, perdavė Tikėjimo platinimo kongregacijai. Joje popiežius Urbonas VIII sukūrė atskirą Rytų apeigų reikalų komisiją.

1917 m. savarankišką Rytų Bažnyčių kongregaciją įkūrė popiežius Benediktas XV, paskelbęs savo Motu proprio „Dei Providentis“.[2]

Po II Vatikano susirinkimo reformuojant Romos kuriją, buvo sukurtos atskirų apeigų (aleksandriečių, bizantiečių, armėnų) valdybos, kongregacijai vadovauti paskirtas kardinolas prefektas, o jos nariais tapo Rytų katalikų patriarchai, aukščiausieji arkivyskupai, o taip pat ir kardinolas, vadovaujantis Popiežiškajai krikščionių vienybės tarybai.[3] Po II Vatikano susirinkimo prisidėjo svarbus tikslas – plėtoti ekumeninius ryšius tarp krikščioniškųjų bažnyčių.[1]
