Rimantas Baltušis

Rimantas Baltušis (1960 m. gruodžio 27 d. Vilnius – 2000 m. liepos 20 d.) – vienas pirmųjų po 1990 m. atkurtos Lietuvos Respublikos kariuomenės karininkų, pulkininkas leitenantas.

Biografija

Baigęs Klaipėdos jūreivystės mokyklą dirbo prekybiniame laivyne Vladivostoke. Grįžęs į Lietuvą įsitraukė į Sąjūdžio apsaugos (vad. žaliaraiščių) veiklą. 1990 m. rugsėjo 28 d. pradėjo tarnybą Krašto apsaugos departamente. 1990 m. lapkričio 7 d. saugodamas sovietinius veikėjus parodijavusį „Šėpos teatrą“ nuginklavo įsiveržusius sovietinius kareivius. 1991 m. su kitais saugojo Lietuvos Respublikos Aukščiausiosios Tarybos rūmus. Nuo 1992 m. lapkričio „Geležinio vilko“ brigados atskirojo Klaipėdos motodesantinio bataliono organizatorius ir vadas. 1993–1995 m. mokėsi JAV pėstininkų mokykloje Fort Beninge (Džordžijos valstija). 1996 m. pulkininkas leitenantas. Pirmasis Lietuvoje pradėjo štabo darbą tvarkyti pagal NATO standartus. Nuo 2000 m. liepos mėn. brigados „Žemaitija“ štabo viršininkas.[1]

Palaidotas Saltoniškių kapinėse.
