Referendumai Lietuvoje

Lietuvoje 1991–2019 m. surengta 13 referendumų. Referendumai rengiami pagal LR Seimo arba Lietuvos piliečių iniciatyvas, jei surenkama virš 300 000 balsuoti galinčių parašų.[1]

Lietuvos Respublikoje gali būti rengiami privalomieji arba konsultaciniai (patariamieji) referendumai. Privalomieji inicijuojami tuomet, kai norima pakeisti Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos 1 straipsnio nuostatą, kad Lietuvos valstybė yra nepriklausoma demokratinė respublika. Taip pat šie referendumai rengiami dėl Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos I skirsnio „Lietuvos valstybė“ bei Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos XIV skirsnio „Konstitucijos keitimas“ nuostatų pakeitimo.

Privalomieji referendumai rengiami dėl 1992 m. birželio 8 d. Konstitucinio akto „Dėl Lietuvos Respublikos nesijungimo į posovietines Rytų sąjungas“ pakeitimo, taip pat dėl Lietuvos Respublikos dalyvavimo tarptautinėse organizacijose, jeigu šis dalyvavimas yra susijęs su Lietuvos valstybės organų kompetencijos dalinių perdavimu tarptautinių organizacijų institucijoms ar jų jurisdikcijai.

Iš visų rengtų referendumų 7 neįvyko, nesusirinkus reikiamam skaičiui rinkėjų (daugiau nei pusei balsavimo teisę turinčių piliečių).[2]

  9. 2008 m. referendumas dėl Ignalinos atominės elektrinės darbo pratęsimo
  10. 2012 m. referendumas dėl naujos atominės elektrinės statybos Lietuvos Respublikoje
  11. 2014 m. privalomasis referendumas dėl Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos 9, 47 ir 147 straipsnių pakeitimo
  12. 2019 m. privalomasis referendumas dėl Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos 12 straipsnio pakeitimo
