Miško paklotė

Miško paklotė – dirvožemio sluoksnis, susidarantis iš yrančių miško nuokritų (spyglių, lapų, šakelių, žievės, kankorėžių), negyvų žolių, samanų ir kerpių liekanų. Paklotės storis ir masė priklauso nuo dirvožemių derlingumo, įmirkimo, medynų rūšinės sudėties, amžiaus, skalsumo. Paklotės skiriasi frakcine, chemine sudėtimi, suirimu, storiu, mase, mikrofloros įvairove ir kitais požymiais. Būdingas storis nuo kelių iki 40–60 cm, masė nuo kelių iki 100 t/ha ir daugiau. Paklotės pH būna neutralus, rūgštus ir vidutinio rūgštumo. Šių tipų miško paklotė dar skirstomos į smulkesnius taksonominius vienetus (lapuočių, žolių, sausą, drėgną miško paklotę). Pagal tarptautinę P. Miulerio klasifikaciją miško paklotė skirstoma į švelniąją, grubiąją ir tarpinio tipo.^[1]

Miško paklotėje vyksta intensyvūs organinių medžiagų skaidymo procesai. Joje yra daugybė pirmuonių, bakterijų, vabzdžių ir kitų bestuburių skaidytojų, grybų. Vidutinių platumų miškų paklotė paprastai gana stora ir vešliai apaugusi samanomis, žoliniais augalais, krūmokšniais, paparčiais, tuo tarpu atogrąžų miškuose paklotė dažnai būna menka dėl greito puvimo, skaidymo, mažo apšvietimo.

Miško paklotėje susidaro puvenos, ji saugo dirvožemį nuo mechaninio poveikio, palaiko vandenį ir maistingąsias medžiagas.^[2]
