Geografia

El Mottaron el se troeuva in d'ona posizion puttost isolada: in mezz in tra el Lagh d'Orta e 'l Lagh Maggior, e per quest a l'è cognossuu anca tant 'me la montagna di duu lagh.
De la soa scima (che la partegna al comun de Stresa, in Provincia de Verbania) se poden vedè 'sti duu lagh, ma anca el Mont Roeusa, la Val d'Ossola e la Val Strona, i lagh de Mergoeuzz, Vares, Monaa e Comabbi, la Pianura Padana e i Alp Marittim. Intorna a lù a gh'è i paes de Gignes, Stresa, Baven, Gravellona, Omegna e Armen. A sud del mont la vegna foeura l'Agogna, fiumm che 'l passa anca per Novara e che 'l riva giò fina a Mortara.
