El paes l'è de origin puttòst antiga e l'è staa sede de voeuna di piev milanes. In del period napoleònigh (1808-1816) l'ha faa part del comun de Pes'cera, ma l'ha retrovaa l'autonomia sòtta el Regn Lombard-Venet.
In del 1841 el comun de Linaa l'è staa unii a Mezzaa, ma in del 1916 la sede comunal l'è stada spostada in quella frazion. El noeuv comun de Linaa al Lamber però el gh'ha avuu ona vita brev, perchè giamò in del 1933 l'è staa unii a quell de Pes'cera.

Mezzaa, in del XX secol, l'ha vist on grand svilupp industrial.
