El partegn al grupp di Alp del Bernina, in di Alp Retigh Occidentai. L'è la scima pussee alta de la Val di Ratt, ona vall lateral de la Val Ciavenna. El Ligoncc se troeuva a nord-est del Lagh de Mezzoeula.
Se pò rivà in scima in dò or del versant sud, col parì del Rifugio Volta; el versant nord inveci l'è pussee complicaa.
