위키배움터(영어: Wikiversity 위키버시티^[*])는 위키미디어 재단의 프로젝트^[1]이다. URL은 www.wikiversity.org이다. 위키버시티는 2006년 8월 15일 영어판이 제일 먼저 시작했으며 새로운 언어판들이 위키배움터 베타에서 시험판으로 생기고 있다. 위키배움터는 모두에게 열린 학습공간을 지향한다.

수천 년 동안 교육 모델 기본 틀은 강의에 기초를 두고 교사가 중심이 되는 획일적·일방적인 형태였고, 산업혁명 이후에도 정부 주도의 공교육은 마찬가지로 획일적·일방적 교육을 통해 짧은 기간 내에 표준화된 지식을 주입하는 일에 치중하였다.^[2]

위키배움터는 이런 패턴에서 벗어나 상호교류할 수 있으며 소비자 지향적이며 학생 중심적인 교육을 표방한다.^[3] 온라인을 통한 ‘e러닝 커뮤니티’를 형성, 새로운 교육을 이룩하려고 한다.
