Тарихи деректер, сипаты

1948-49 жылдары Оңтүстік Қазақстан археологиялық экспедициясы (жетекшісі А.Н. Бернштам), 1959-70 жылдары Отырар археологиялық экспедициясы (жетекшісі К. Ақышев) зерттеген.
Сопақша формалы төбенің биіктігі 15 м, солтүстік-шығыстан оңтүстік-батысқа карай 150 м. Төбе үстінің ауданы 100x70 м. Зерттеу нәтижесінде қара, қызыл бояумен боялған, кангюй, Хорезм және ғұн стилінде жасалған қыш ыдыстардың сынықтары, 3100-ге жуық теңге табылды. Қаракөншек формасына қарай шағын калашықтың немесе қаңлы үйінің үлгісінде дамыған ірі қоныстың орны болуы керек. Алынған материалдарға қарағанда, қалашықты халық 1-12 ғасырлар шенінде мекен етіп, мал өсірумен және егін егумен айналысқан.[1]
