ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩა — ქუჩა თბილისში, კრწანისისა და მთაწმინდის რაიონებში (გარეთუბანი, ზემო უბანი). ალექსანდრე პუშკინის ქუჩიდან ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ხიდამდე. ადრე „ციხის ბულვარი“ ერქვა, 1843 წლიდან — მუხრანის ქუჩა, 1945 წელს ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის სახელი უწოდეს. ადრე აქ ავანაანთხევი ჩამოედინებოდა. ხევს ტეხილი ხაზით მიჰყვებოდა ბურჯებითა და კოშკებით გამაგრებული ქალაქის გალავნის ჩრდილოეთი კედელი. XVIII საუკუნის შუა წლებში ხევი გადახურეს, მიწით ამოავსეს, გალავანი კი ააფეთქეს. ასე გაჩნდა თბილისის ერთ-ერთ ძველ, მუხრანბატონების უბანში ქუჩა, რომელსაც მუხრანის ქუჩა დაარქვეს. იგი ეშვებოდა მტკვრის ნაპირისკენ, სადაც მოწყობილი იყო ბორანი (შემდგომში აქ აშენდა მუხრანის ხიდი). დროთა ვითარებაში ვიწრო მუხრანის ქუჩა და ხიდი ვეღარ ერეოდა მზარდ სატრანსპორტო მოთხოვნებს და წარმოიქმნა მაგისტრალის ძირფესვიანი რეკონსტრუქციის საჭიროება.

ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩის რეკონსტრუქცია ძველი ქალაქის ისტორიული ნაწილის კომპლექსური გარდაქმნის თვალსაჩინო ნიმუშია (1978, არქიტექტორი შოთა ყავლაშვილი). ქუჩის მარცხენა მხარე განაშენიანებული იყო თანამედროვე მრავალსართულიანი შენობებით, ხოლო მარჯვენა მხარე — უღიმღამო, მეტწილად ერთსართულიანი ნაგებობებით, რომელთა რეკონსტრუქციის საფუძველზეც შეიქმნა ამ უბნის ახლანდელი იერ-სახე. 70-იან წლებში პროფესორმა თენგიზ კვირკველიამ ჩაატარა მეცნიერული აზომვითი სამუშაო. ზუსტად განსაზღვრა ციხესიმაგრის კედლის, კოშკების, ბურჯების, ციხის კარებისა და სხვათა ადგილმდებარეობა. გადაწყდა ქუჩის გაფართოება ძველი გალავნის ხაზამდე. ციხის კედლები გაათავისუფლეს მრავალფენოვანი დანაშრეფვებისაგან და ნაწილობრივ აღადგინეს, ხოლო გალავანზე მიბჯენილ თუ შეკიდებულ XIX საუკუნის კოლორიტულ-აივნებიან საცხოვრებელ სახლებს ჩაუტარდა სარეტავრაციო-სარეკონსტრუქციო სამუშაოები განაშენიანების მასშტაბისა და საერთო ხასიათის გათვალისწინებით.

თანამედროვე ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩა იქცა განივ სატრანსპორტო მაგისტრალად, რომელიც აკავშირებსს გრძივად გაშენებული ქალაქის მარცხენა და მარჯვენა მხარეებს. სამუშაოების მიმდინარეობის დროს აღმოჩნდა ქალაქის ერთ-ერთი კარის — დიღმის კარისა და სათოფურებით აღჭურვილი ძველი ციხის კედლის ფრაგმენტები. თბილისური სახლების რეკონსტრუქციისას შენარჩუნებულია ძველი იერი და ტრადიციული აივნები. ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩის მარჯვენა მხარესაა: ფეშენებული რესტორანი „მუხრანთუბანი“ (1981, არქიტექტორი შოთა ყავლაშვილი) ; მარიონეტების თეატრი (ახლანდელი თეატრ-სტუდია რევაზ გაბრიაძის ხელმძღვანელობით) ; სტილიზებული ჩარდახ-მოსაცდელი „კონკა“ ; ელენე ახვლედიანის სახელობის ბავშვთა სურათების გალერეა, რომლის გვერდით ფასადზე, იოანე შავთელის ქუჩის მხარეა, ჩასმულია დიდი ბარელიეფი ქალაქურ თემაზე; ფიროსმანის ნახატის მიხედვით გამოძერწილი „მეეზოვე“ (მოქანდაკე ელგუჯა ამაშუკელი); სკულპტურული კომპოზიცია „ბერიკაობა“ (მოქანდაკე ა. მონასელიძე, არქიტექტორი გ. ჯაფარიძე), ქუჩაზე დგას იოანე პეტრიწისა (მოქანდაკე დ. მიქატაძე, არქიტექტორი რ. ბერიძე) და შოთა ყავლაშვილის (მოქანდაკე თ. კიკალიშვილი, არქიტექტორი ი. ყავლაშვილი) ძეგლები.

ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩის მარცხენა მხარეზეა 6-სართულიანი (84-ბინიანი) საცხოვრებელი სახლი (№8-10), რომელშიც ჩანს კლასიკური ფორმებისა და ძველი ქართული ხუროთმოძღვრების მოტივების შერწყმის მცდელობა (XX საუკუნის 40-იანი წლები, არქიტექტორები ს. დემჩინელი, ა. ქურდიანი, გ. ჯანდიერი).

გლდანი

ნიკოლოზ ბარათაშვილის ქუჩა არსებობს აგრეთვე გლდანის რაიონში (გლდანი) კარლო მებაღიშვილის ქუჩიდან ვასილ გულისაშვილის ქუჩამდე.
