პლატოს შტატი (ინგლ. Plateau State) — შტატი ნიგერიის ცენტრში. სწახელწოდება მომდინარეობს ჯოსის პლატოდან, რომელზეც მდებარეობს შტატი.

  • ადმინისტრაციული ცენტრი — ქალაქი ჯოსი.
  • ფართობი — 30 913 კმ², მოსახლეობა — 3 206 531 ადამიანი (2006).[3]

ისტორია

პლატოს შტატი შეიქმნა 1976 წლის 3 თებერვალს ბენუე-პლატოს შტატის გაყოფის შემდეგ. 1996 წელს შტატის დასავლეთ ნაწილს გამოეყო ნასარავის შტატი.

XX საუკუნის დასაწყისში თანამედროვე პლატოს შტატის დიდი ნაწილი შედიოდა ბაუნჩის პროვინციაში. 1926 წელს ამ პროვინციას გამოეყო პლატოს პროვინცია. შემდგომში პროვინციის საზღვრები რამდენიმეჯერ შეიცვალა. ბოლოს ნიგერიის 1967 წლის ადმინისტრაციული დაყოფის რეფორმების შემდეგ, როდესაც ქვეყანა დაიყო 12 შტატად, ბენუეს და პლატოს პროვინციები გაერთიანდა ბენუე-პლატოს შტატში. 1976 წელს შტატის გაყოფისას ახალი პლატოს შტატი შეიქმნა 1967 წელს არსებული პლატოს პროვინციის საზღვრებში.
