Il San Lorenzo, il Boca Juniors e il Tigre hanno concluso il torneo al primo posto ex aequo, eventualità che non si verificava dal Nacional 1968. In base al regolamento, il vincitore è stato decretato attraverso una serie di spareggi tra le tre squadre tenutisi, in campo neutro, il 17, il 20 e il 23 dicembre 2008, nei quali è prevalso il Boca Juniors.
