NGC 2834 è una galassia lenticolare situata nella costellazione della Lince, a una distanza di circa 341 milioni di anni luce dalla nostra Via Lattea.[1]
Scoperta
La galassia è stata scoperta il 13 marzo 1850 dall'astronomo irlandese George Johnstone Stoney.[1]
Descrizione
La classificazione di NGC 2834 come galassia lenticolare non è univoca; Wolfgang Steinicke la considera dubitativamente come una galassia ellittica (E?).[3]
