India Summer è originaria dell'Iowa ed ha discendenze irlandesi, tedesche, inglesi e nativo-americana^[2]. Ha conseguito una laurea in scienze dell'educazione ed è stata successivamente un'impiegata al reparto finanziario del Dipartimento Nazionale dell'Agricoltura per sei anni.^[3]
