Hailey Benton Gates (Los Angeles, 28 marzo 1990) è una modella, attrice, regista e giornalista statunitense.

Ha condotto il programma di Viceland States of Undress.[1]

Biografia

Gates è nata e cresciuta a Los Angeles, dove la sua famiglia risiede da sette generazioni.[2] I genitori di Gates si sono separati durante la sua infanzia.[3] La sua nonna materna è la sceneggiatrice Joan Tewkesbury.[4] Il suo bisnonno è stato il primo sindaco di Santa Monica.[2]

Nel 2012 Gates ha conseguito il Bachelor of Fine Arts con specializzazione in teatro sperimentale presso la Tisch School of the Arts della New York University.[4]

Carriera

The Paris Review

Nel 2019 ha diretto il cortometraggio Shako Mako, interpretato da Alia Shawkat e presentato in anteprima a Los Angeles. Il film è stato prodotto nell'ambito della serie di cortometraggi Women's Tales di Miu Miu, diretti da registe donne.[17] Nel 2025 ha scritto e diretto il suo primo lungometraggio, Atropia, con Alia Shawkat e Callum Turner tra gli interpreti.[18]

Vita privata

A maggio 2016, Gates risiedeva nell'Upper West Side di New York City.[6]
