ATL Jacob, pseudonimo di Jacob Denzal Canady (Atlanta, 10 dicembre 1998), è un produttore discografico statunitense.

Ha acquisito notorietà nel 2022 grazie alla serie di produzioni di successo per il collega Future, anch'egli originario di Atlanta, dopo aver lavorato come produttore interno per la sua etichetta discografica, la Freebandz. Il suo stile di produzione è stato descritto come «cupo» e «morbido».[1][2]

Biografia

Jacob Denzal Canady è nato il 10 dicembre 1998 ad Atlanta, in Georgia.[3][4][5] Canady ha iniziato a interessarsi alla produzione discografica da adolescente, desiderando rappare sulle basi musicali proprie.[5]

Nell'ottobre 2022 è stato nominato produttore dell'anno ai BET Hip Hop Awards 2022,[6] mentre nel gennaio 2023 ha vinto il titolo di produttore dell'anno agli XXL Awards 2023.[7] Nel febbraio 2023, Jacob ottiene una candidatura alla 65ª edizione dei Grammy Awards nella categoria miglior canzone rap per il suo lavoro in Wait for U di Future.[8][9] L'anno successivo ha prodotto il singolo Last Time I Saw You per Nicki Minaj e ha pubblicato il suo singolo di debutto come artista discografico, MF Problem.[10][11] Nel 2024 pubblica il singolo Luna, in collaborazione con il cantante colombiano Feid, ottenendo fin da subito un discreto successo.[12]
