Novità

Rispetto alla stagione precedente mancò l'Olympiakos Nicosia, promosso in Alpha Ethniki 1967-1968[1]; fu sostituito dall'ASIL Lysī, vincitore della B' Katīgoria 1966-1967[1]; pertanto il numero di squadre rimase fermo a dodici[1].

Formula

Il torneo fu disputato da dodici squadre che si incontrarono in gare di andata e ritorno per un totale di ventidue turni per squadra[1]; furono assegnati tre punti in caso di vittoria, due in caso di pareggio e uno in caso di sconfitta[1]. L'ultima classificata veniva retrocessa in B' Katīgoria 1968-1969[1]; in caso di arrivo in parità prevaleva il quoziente reti[2]. Come nella precedente stagione la prima classificata otteneva la promozione nel massimo campionato di calcio greco.[1]
