Umberto Eco

Umberto Eco

Umberto Eco (5 Januari 1932 – 19 Februari 2016) merupakan seorang filsuf dan novelis berkebangsaan Italia, yang menjadi terkenal saat menulis novel The Name of the Rose (Il nome della rosa) dan beberapa esai lainnya. Eco dilahirkan di Alessandria, Piedmont. Ayahnya, Giulio, merupakan ahli akuntan.

Dia meninggal dunia pada 19 Februari 2016 karena kanker pankreas.^[1]
