Timothy Franz "Tim" Geithner (/ˈɡaɪtnər/; lahir 18 Agustus 1961) adalah perancang kebijakan ekonomi dan presiden bank sentral Amerika Serikat. Pada tahun 2009 sampai 2013, ia menjabat sebagai Menteri Keuangan Amerika Serikat ke-75 pada masa kepresidenan Barack Obama (2009-2013). Ia juga pernah menjabat sebagai presiden Federal Reserve Bank of New York sejak tahun 2003 sampai 2009. Saat ini ia memimpin firma ekuitas swasta Warburg Pincus di Wall Street.^[2]

Semasa menjabat Menteri Keuangan, Geithner berperan penting dalam mengatur anggaran penanganan krisis oleh pemerintah federal, termasuk alokasi dana $350 miliar dari Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) yang disahkan oleh pemerintahan sebelumnya.
