Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (SKE) adalah perusahaan yang membiayai produksi film dan televisi yang berlokasi di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat. Perusahaan ini didirikan pada tahun 2004 oleh seorang filantropis sekaligus produser film berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat,[1][2] Sidney Kimmel. Sidney Kimmel Entertainment berkonsentrasi mengerjakan berbagai projek hiburan, bekerjasama dengan distributor.

Produksi film

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment telah bekerjasama dalam membiayai lebih dari 40 produksi film dan televisi.[3] Beberapa film yang pernah diproduksi SKE antara lain The Lincoln Lawyer, dibintangi oleh Matthew McConaughey, bersama Lakeshore Entertainment yang dirilis oleh Lionsgate;[4] film komedi Inggris (2007) berjudul Death at a Funeral, seperti halnya film reproduksi Amerika Serikat tahun 2010, bersama co-produser Chris Rock, released oleh Screen Gems;[5] The Kite Runner, yang diangkat dari novel berjudul sama, diproduseri bersama DreamWorks, Participant Productions, dan Parkes/MacDonald Productions, dirilis oleh Paramount Vantage;[6] Breach, film cerita the film kisah nyata tentang pengkhianatFBI yang dibintangi oleh Chris Cooper, Ryan Phillippe dan Laura Linney; Lars and the Real Girl, yang dibintangi oleh Ryan Gosling, disutradarai oleh Craig Gillespie dan dirilis oleh MGM;[7] dan film nominator Oscar berjudul United 93 yang disutradarai oleh Paul Greengrass, diangkat dari kisah nyata penerbangan bertepatan dengan tragedi 9 September 2001, bekerjasama dengan Universal Pictures.

SKE juga membiayai produksi film The Place Beyond the Pines, disutradarai oleh Derek Cianfrance, dengan beberapa bintang antara lain Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper dan Eva Mendes.[8] The Place Beyond the Pines merupakan salah satu film terlaris yang pernah dibiayai secara independen, dirilis oleh Focus Features.

Film terbaru SKE berjudul Age of Adaline, yang diproduseri bersama Lionsgate film dan Lakeshore Entertainment released pada 24 April 2015,[9] dibintangi oleh Blake Lively dan Harrison Ford, disutradarai oleh Lee Toland Krieger.

Pada tahun 2015, SKE merilis beberapa karya antara lain film komedi Sleeping With Other People, hasil kerjasama dengan Gloria Sanchez Productions yang dibintangi oleh Jason Sudeikis, Alison Brie, Adam Scott and Amanda Peet, dan disutradarai oleh Leslye Headland, diangkat dari naskah aslinya, yang dirilis oleh IFC;[10] dan Demolition, film hasil kerjasama dengan Black Label Media, dengan bintang Jake Gyllenhaal dan Naomi Watts serta sutradara Jean Marc Valle, dirilis oleh Fox Searchlight.[11]

Beberapa projek film terbaru yang sedang dikerjakan antara lain Book of Henry, diangkat dari skenario asli karya Gregg Hurwitz, disutradari oleh Colin Trevorrow,[12] dan film drama aksi kriminal berjudul Comancheria, yang akan dibintangi oleh Jeff Bridges, naskah ditulis oleh Taylor Sheridan dan disutradarai oleh David Mackenzie.[13]

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment Global
