Sergei Fedorovich Bondarchuk (pengucapan bahasa Rusia: [sʲɪrˈɡʲej ˈfʲɵdərəvʲɪtɕ bəndɐrˈtɕuk]; bahasa Rusia: Серге́й Фё́дорович Бондарчу́к; Ukraina: Сергі́й Фе́дорович Бондарчу́к, Serhiy Fedorovych Bondarchuk; 25 September 1920 – 20 Oktober 1994) adalah seorang sutradara, penulis latar dan aktor Soviet.

Biografi

Lahir di Belozerka, Kegubernuran Kherson, RSS Ukraina, Sergei Bondarchuk menjalani masa kecilnya di kota Yeysk dan Taganrog, lulus dari Sekolah Taganrog Nomor 4 pada 1938. Penampilan pertamanya sebagai seorang pemeran adalah pada panggung Teater Taganrog in 1937. Ia melanjutkan pembelajarannya di sekolah teater Rostov-on-Don (1938–1942). Setelah pembelajarannya, ia masuk dalam Tentara Merah melawan Jerman Nazi dan keluar pada 1946.

Pada 1995, ia secara anumerta dianugerahi dengan gelar Diploma Kehormatan atas jasa-jasanya pada bidang sinema di Festival Film Internasional Moskwa ke-19.^[1]

Bondarchuk dimakamkan di Pemakaman Novodevichy, Moskwa. Putrinya Natalya Bondarchuk diingat sebagai bintang dari Solaris karya Andrei Tarkovsky, sementara putranya Fyodor Bondarchuk (yang berperan bersama dengannya dalam film Boris Godunov) merupakan seorang aktor dan sutradara Rusia populer yang dikenal karena juara box-officenya The 9th Company (2005). Pada Juni 2007, mantan istrinya Inna Makarova mendirikan sebuah patung perunggu Sergei Bondarchuk di kampung halamannya Yeysk.
