Kandahār (bahasa Pashtun: کندھار; Kandahār, bahasa Persia Afganistan: قندهار; Qandahār) adalah salah satu dari tiga puluh empat Provinsi di Afganistan, yang terletak di bagian selatan negara itu, berbatasan dengan Pakistan, di selatan. Dikelilingi oleh Helmand di barat, Uruzgan di utara dan Provinsi Zabul di timur. Ibukotanya adalah kota Kandahar, kota terbesar kedua di Afghanistan, yang terletak di Sungai Arghandab. Wilayah yang lebih besar yang mengelilingi provinsi ini disebut Loy Kandahar. Emir Afghanistan mengirim perintah ke Kabul dari Kandahar menjadikannya ibu kota de facto Afghanistan, meskipun badan pemerintah utama mengoperasikannya di Kabul. Semua pertemuan dengan Emir berlangsung di Kandahar, pertemuan tidak termasuk Emir di Kabul.

Provinsi ini terdiri dari sekitar 18 distrik, lebih dari 1.000 desa, dan sekitar 1.431.876 orang (provinsi terpadat ke-6), yang sebagian besar merupakan masyarakat suku dan pedesaan.[4] Penduduk utama provinsi Kandahar adalah etnis Pashtun diikuti oleh Hazara dan Tajik.[5]
