Proposisi California 37 adalah Proposisi surat suara California, yang ditolak pada pemilihan seluruh negara bagian pada 6 November 2012.[2] Inisiatif undang-undang ini akan memberlakukan pelabelan makanan rekayasa genetika (RG), dengan beberapa pengecualian, dan melarang praktik pelabelan makanan RG dengan kata "natural".[3] Proposisi ini adalah salah satu perhatian utama bagi penyelenggara March Against Monsanto (demonstrasi terhadap Perusahaan Monsanto) pada bulan Mei 2013.

Bagian 2 dari Proposisi 37, "Pernyataan Tujuan", berbunyi "Tujuan dari tindakan ini adalah untuk menciptakan dan menegakkan hak dasar masyarakat California untuk mendapat informasi lengkap tentang apakah makanan yang mereka beli dan makan direkayasa secara genetika dan tidak salah dikategorikan sebagai alami sehingga mereka dapat memilih sendiri apakah akan membeli dan makan makanan seperti itu. Hal ini harus ditafsirkan secara bebas untuk memenuhi tujuan ini ".[4][5]
