Kapal selam Jerman U-556

U-556 adalah U-boat (kapal selam) Tipe VIIC milik Angkatan Laut Nazi Jerman pada masa Perang Dunia II. Lunasnya dipasang pada tanggal 2 Januari 1940 di Galangan Blohm & Voss di Hamburg sebagai nomor galangan 532. Ia diluncurkan pada tanggal 7 Desember 1940 dan mulai ditugaskan pada 6 Februari 1941 dibawah komando Kapitänleutnant Herbert Wohlfarth, yang setia menemaninya di sepanjang kariernya. U-556 hanya sempat melakukan dua patroli, menenggelamkan enam kapal dengan total berat 29.552 gros ton terdaftar serta merusak satu kapal seberat 4.986 ton. Ia tenggelam pada 27 Juni 1941.
