Jens Christian Skou (8 Oktober 1918 – 28 Mei 2018) adalah seorang dokter dan penerima Nobel asal Denmark. Ayahnya adalah seorang pedagang kayu dan batu bara. Jens belajar kedokteran di Universitas Kopenhagen.

Pada tahun 1954, Skou mendapatkan gelar dalam kedokteran di Universitas Århus. Pada tahun 1963 ia diangkat sebagai profesor fisiologi; antara tahun 1978-1988 ia menjadi profesor biofisika di universitas yang sama. Ia mempelajari kemungkinan membran sel mengangkut bahan ke dalam maupun ke luar sel. Artikel pertamanya mengenai pompa natrium-kalium (Na+,K+-ATPase) diterbitkan pada tahun 1957 dan ia menerima Penghargaan Nobel dalam Kimia pada tahun 1997 atas penemuan pompa itu. Ia juga merupakan anggota Videnskabernes Selskab. Ia diangkat sebagai doktor kehormatan di Københavns Universitet pada tahun 1986.

Setelah mendapat Nobel, Skou tetap memberikan beberapa wawancara menceritakan kisah penemuannya, dan pada usia 94 tahun dilaporkan bahwa ia masih mengikuti publikasi-publikasi di bidangnya.[1][2] Ia meninggal dunia pada 28 Mei 2018 di Aarhus, Denmark pada usia 99 tahun, lima bulan sebelum ulang tahunnya yang ke-100.[3][4][5]
