Hubungan antara pornografi anak dan pelecehan seksual terhadap anak

Hubungan antara pornografi anak dan pelecehan seksual terhadap anak adalah topik penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menguji hubungan antara menonton pornografi anak dengan terjadinya pelecehan seksual terhadap anak. Beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan tidak menemukan kesepakatan apakah terhadap hubungan sebat akibat antara keduanya.[1][2][3][4]

Perspektif terbagi dalam salah satu dari tiga posisi:

  • Melihat pornografi dapat meningkatkan kemungkinan seseorang melakukan pelanggaran.
    Alasannya mencakup bahwa pornografi menormalkan dan/atau melegitimasi ketertarikan seksual pada anak di bawah umur, serta bahwa pornografi pada akhirnya mungkin tidak lagi memuaskan penggunanya.
  • Melihat pornografi dapat mengurangi kemungkinan seseorang melakukan pelanggaran.
    Alasannya adalah bahwa pornografi bertindak sebagai pengganti pelanggaran yang sebenarnya. Simulasi pornografi disarankan sebagai alternatif agar tidak merugikan korban sebenarnya.
  • Tidak ada kaitan yang berarti antara penayangan film tersebut dan tingkat jumlah korban.
    Hal ini serupa seperti halnya menonton kecelakaan mobil, pembunuhan, atau tindakan kekerasan lainnya tidak menimbulkan lebih banyak korban, dan bukti yang ada tidak cukup untuk menarik kesimpulan apa pun.
