F. Springer

F. Springer (lahir 15 Januari 1932) adalah nama samaran Carel Jan Schneider, seorang diplomat dan penulis Belanda. Masa Perang Dunia II dilewatinya di kamp konsentrasi Jepang,[1] setelah itu tinggal dan bekerja di Papua, New York City, Bangkok, Brussel, Dhaka, Luanda, Berlin Timur (kelak akan menjadi DuBes terakhir Belanda untuk Jerman Timur[1]), dan Tehran. Pengalamannya tersebut akan mengilhami gaya penulisannya.

Semasa bertugas sebagai kontrolir di Papua, F. Springer memberikan laporan kepada residen FRJ. Eibrink Jansen atas dugaan agresi sistematis oleh kontrolir kelas I Rodolph Aloysius Gonsalves kepada orang Dani di Lembah Baliem. Sebagai akibatnya, Rolph Gonsalves dipindahtugaskan.
