Bendungan Mauvoisin

Bendungan Mauvoisin adalah sebuah bendungan yang terletak di Valais, Swiss. Pembangunannya dimulai tahun 1951 dan selesai pada tahun 1957, dengan waduknya terisi pada tahun 1958. Pada tahun 1991, bendungan ini ditinggikan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas waduk.[1] Tujuan utama bendungan ini adalah untuk membangkitkan listrik dari tenaga air.

Sebagai bendungan tertinggi kedelapan di dunia, Bendungan Mauvoisin memiliki ketinggian 250 meter (820 ft) dan panjang 520 meter (1.710 ft), dengan volume struktural 2.030.000 meter kubik. Air di belakang bendungan ini membentuk waduk Lac de Mauvoisin dengan kapasitas 211,5 juta m3 dan luas permukaan 208 hektare (510 ekar).
