Armenio medie (armenio: միջին հայերէն, michin hayren; alsi appellate armenio cilician, Կիլիկեան հայերէն, giligian hayren,[1] ma iste pote esser confusate con dialectos moderne) es le secunde periodo in le lingua armenie scripte, in le qual numerose libros era publicate inter le 12e e 18e seculos. Illo succedeva grabar (armenio classic) e precedeva ashkharhabar (armenio moderne).[2]
Armenio classic era prevalentemente un lingua flexional e synthetic, ma in armenio medie, durante le periodo del influentia de armenio moderne, formas agglutinative e analytic influentiava le linguage.[3] In iste respecto, armenio medie es un linguage in transition inter armenio classic e armenio moderne. [4]
Armenio medie es notabile como le prime forma de armenio scripte que monstra typos occidental de qualitates vocate e pro haber introducite le litteras "o" e "ֆ", que era basate in le litteras grec "o" e "φ".
