יחסי אתיופיה–דנמרק הם היחסים הדו-צדדיים בין דנמרק לאתיופיה. דנמרק מחזיקה באתיופיה שגרירות באדיס אבבה,[1] ואתיופיה מיוצגת בדנמרק באמצעות שגרירותה בלונדון, בריטניה.[2] יחסים דיפלומטיים כוננו בשנות ה-60 של המאה ה-20, ומאז היו היחסים בין דנמרק לאתיופיה בעליות ומורדות.[3] בשנת 2008 היצוא האתיופי לדנמרק הסתכם בכ-6.5 מיליון קרונה דנית, ואילו הייצוא הדני הסתכם ב-40.3 מיליון קרונה דנית. דנמרק מספקת עזרה וסיוע לאתיופיה באמצעות סוכנות הפיתוח הבינלאומית הדנית (DANIDA).[4] אתיופיה היא מדינה שותפה של ה-DANIDA.[5]

בשנת 1954 ביקר קיסר אתיופיה היילה סלסי בדנמרק בביקור ממלכתי, והממשלה הדנית העניקה לו את המסדר הגבוה ביותר של דנמרק, מסדר הפיל.[6] שר החוץ הדני פר סטיג מולר ושר ההגנה סורן גייד ביקרו באתיופיה בשנת 2004, כדי לפגוש את יו"ר האיחוד האפריקאי באדיס אבבה.[7] בשנת 2007 ביקרה שרת הפיתוח הדנית אולה טורנס באזור צפון וולו.[8]

היסטוריה

מיסיונרים וסוחרים דנים רבים ביקרו באתיופיה לאורך המאה ה-20. דנים וסקנדינבים אחרים עזרו בבניית הכנסייה האוונגלית האתיופית מקנה יסוס.[9] ביוני 1935, מעט לפני המלחמה האיטלקית-אתיופית השנייה, עצרה דנמרק את משלוחי הנשק לאתיופיה,[10][11] ומנעה מאתיופיה לקנות תחמושת.[12] עם תחילת המלחמה, דנמרק הסירה את האיסור שלהם וסיימה את האמברגו.[13][14] בשנת 1950 הצביעו דנמרק ו-15 מדינות אחרות באו"ם בעד החזרת אריתריאה ואתיופיה תחת שלטונו של היילה סלסי.[15] במהלך הרעב באתיופיה (1983–1985) תרמה דנמרק עם נורווגיה בסך הכל 27.5 מיליון דולר.[16]

לאחר מלחמת אריתריאה – אתיופיה משנת 1998 עד 2000 שלחה דנמרק 320 חיילים למשלחת האו"ם לאתיופיה ולאריתריאה לפקח על הפסקת אש במלחמות הגבול.[17]

באפריל 2001 ביקר שר החוץ הדני, מוגנס ליקטופט, באתיופיה וקרא לחזק את קשריה עם אתיופיה.[18]

דנמרק פתחה שגרירות באתיופיה בשנת 2004[9] ובנובמבר 2011 חתמה אתיופיה על הסכם שירות אווירי עם דנמרק.[19]

סיוע דני

העמותה הלאומית הדנית דת הכנסייה סייעה בתקציב בסך 17 מיליון קרונה דנית לתוכנית לשימור קרקע ומים בדירה דאווה. מאז 1994 סייעה דנמרק עם 2.3 מיליון דולר לפרויקט מטעי עץ דלק באתיופיה.[20] בשנים 1992–1994 סיפקה דנמרק לאתיופיה 80 מיליון קרונה דנית לשיקום המדינה.[21] בשנים 2004–2008 סיפקה דנמרק לאתיופיה למעלה מ-140 מיליון קרונה דנית.[22] בשנים 2008 ו-2009 הסתכם הסיוע הדני באתיופיה ב-100 מיליון קרונה דנית.[23] במהלך בצורת מזרח אפריקה ב-2011 באתיופיה ובמדינות שכנות, תרמה דנמרק 130 מיליון קרונה דנית לאזור.[24]
