חצי האי ג'טי (באנגלית: Jetty Peninsula; מילולית: חצי אי המזח) הוא חצי אי מוארך ושטוח, הבולט לתוף מדף הקרח אמרי, שבאנטארקטיקה[1].

אורכו של חצי האי 48 קילומטרים[1].

חצי האי משתרע לכיוון צפון מערב, בסמוך ממזרח לאגם ביוור.[1]

שיא גובהו של חצי האי ג'טי 195 מטרים מעל פני הים.[2]

היסטוריה

גילוי חצי האי

מטוס מחקר של משלחת החקר האנטארקטית הלאומית של אוסטרליה גילתה את חצי האי בשנת 1956[1].

משלחות מחקר אוסטרליות ביקרו בחצי האי בשנים 1957, 1958, ו-1959[3]; בפברואר 1969 הוקמה בקצה הצפוני של חצי האי תחנת מחקר ששימשה את משלחת הסקר של הרי הנסיך צ'ארלס[3].

מקור השם

שמו של חצי האי ניתן לו על ידי ועדת השמות האנטארקטיים של אוסטרליה[1].

הוועדה לחצי האי בשם זה ("Jetty" - "מזח") בשל אורכו של חצי אי וצורתו השטוחה, המזכירה מזח[1].
