איבון נלסון (באנגלית: Yvonne Nelson; נולדה ב-12 בנובמבר 1985) היא, שחקנית, דוגמנית, צלמת, מפיקה ויזמית גנאית.[1] בין הסרטים בהם כיכבה כלולים "House of Gold", ‏"Any Other Monday"[2]‏ ,"In April"[3] ו-"Swings".[4]

ביוגרפיה

נלסון נולדה באקרה, אך היא מאומת הפאנטה, ומקורה בקייפ קוסט. כשסיימה את לימודי התיכון באקרה, למדה לתואר ראשון בניהול משאבי אנוש באוניברסיטת סנטרל.[5][6] ב-29 באוקטובר 2017, נולדה בת לנלסון ולחברה לשעבר, ג'יימי רוברטס.[7]

קריירה

התפקיד הראשי הראשון שלה בסרט היה תפקיד הכותרת ב-Princess Tyra. היא עשתה עוד חמישה סרטים ואז נסעה לניגריה כדי לעשות את סרטה הראשון בשיתוף פעולה עם ג'נביב נאג'י ב-2007, אשר השיק את הקריירה שלה בנוליווד, תעשיית הקולנוע הניגרית.

בשנת 2011 החלה נלסון לעסוק בהפקת סרטים. ההפקה הראשונה שלה הייתה הסרט The Price. ב-2012 היא הפיקה את Single and Married, וב-2013[8] את House of Gold.[9] ‏Single and Married זכה בפרס הסרט הטוב ביותר בפרסי הקולנוע של גאנה ובפרס הסרט הגנאי הטוב ביותר בפרסי City People בניגריה ב-2013.

פילנתרופיה

ב-2010 יסדה נלסון את קרן איבון נלסון לגלאוקומה, כדי לעזור להעלות מודעות להמחלה. עם תמיכתם של ידוענים נוספים, היא הקליטה סינגל למטרות צדקה, והפיקה סרטון חינוכי. בשל פעילותה הפילנתרופית, במיוחד בנושא גלאוקומה, ב-2013 היא זכתה להכרה מצד המגזין GoWoman ו-Printex.[10]

קמפיין

נלסון פעילה גם בנושא משבר האנרגיה בארצה. היא הובילה עצרת ב-16 במאי 2015, במסגרת קמפיין רחב יותר, המשתמש בהאשטאג #dumsormuststop המשמש במדיה החברתית לבטא את החששות של תושבי גאנה לגבי משבר האנרגיה.[11]
