אדיל אקטר (באנגלית: Adeel Akhtar; באורדו: عدیل اختر; נולד ב-18 בספטמבר 1980) הוא שחקן אנגלי זוכה פרס באפט"א.

ביוגרפיה

אקטר נולד בלונדון לאב פקיסטני ולאם הודית ילידת קניה. הוא סיים תואר במשפטים אבל שינה כיוון מקצועי למשחק. את הכשרתו המקצועית רכש באולפן השחקנים בניו יורק.[1]

קריירה

אקטר ידוע מתפקידו בדמות פייסל, המוסלמי הקיצוני, בסרטו של כריס מוריס "Four Lions".[2] הוא הופיע בתפקידים קומיים בהם גופטה בתוכנית "The Angelos Epithemiou Show", מארוש בסרט "הדיקטטור"[3] וסמי בסרט "פן" של האחים וורנר בבימויו של ג'ו וייט.[4]

אקטר זכה לשבחים גם על הופעותיו בתפקידים דרמטיים. ב-2015 היה מועמד לפרס באפט"א לטלוויזיה לשחקן המשנה הטוב ביותר על הופעתו בתפקיד וילסון וילסון בסדרה "אוטופיה" של ערוץ 4.[5] הוא גילם חנווני בשם אחמד במיני-סדרה "קפיטל" של ה-BBC לצדו של טובי ג'ונס.[6] בסדרת הדרמה "ריבר" שיחק בתפקיד סמל בילוש איירה קינג.[7] בסקירה על הסדרה "ריבר" בעיתון דיילי טלגרף שיבח מייקל הוגן את הופעתו.[8]

ב-2016 הופיע אקטר בדמות שהזאד בסרט הטלוויזיה של ה-BBC בשם "Murdered by My Father". ב-2017 זכה על הופעתו בדרמה בפרס באפט"א לטלוויזיה לשחקן הטוב ביותר.[9][10] עוד ב-2016 שיחק בתפקיד רוב סינגהל במיני-סדרה של ה-BBC "מנהל הלילה" המבוססת על רומן באותו שם מאת ג'ון לה קארה.[11] בשנת 2021 שיחק בסדרה "סוויט טות': נער עם קרניים" המשודרת בנטפליקס בתפקיד "דוקטור סינג".
