Poetic Justice הוא שיר של הראפר האמריקאי קנדריק לאמאר, מתוך אלבום הבכורה שלו בחברת תקליטים גדולה, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. השיר, שהופק על ידי המפיק האמריקאי סקופ דוויל, מכיל הופעת אורח של הראפר הקנדי דרייק. השיר יצא לאור כסינגל הרשמי הרביעי מתוך האלבום, בעקבות התגובה החיובית שקיבל. הוא קרוי על סרט הנושא שם זהה (אנ') משנת 1993 בכיכובם של טופאק שאקור וג'נט ג'קסון, המופיעים בעטיפת הסינגל.

רקע

השיר הופק על ידי סקופ דוויל, איתו לאמאר עבד בעבר בסינגל המוביל "The Recipe". דוויל דגם את "Any Time, Any Place" של ג'נט ג'קסון. לאמאר ודוויל בחרו לדגום את השיר לאחר שהושמע ברדיו במהלך סשן ההקלטות שלהם.[1] בראיון, דוויל נזכר בכמה אמנים שרצו את השיר, בהם הראפר האמריקאי 50 סנט, לפני שבסופו של דבר נתן אותו ללאמאר.[2] ב-26 בינואר 2013, לאמאר ביצע את השיר בסאטרדיי נייט לייב, כמו גם את הסינגל הקודם מהאלבום, "Swimming Pools (Drank)".[3]

וידאו קליפ

בראיון בדצמבר 2012 הצהיר לאמאר שהווידאו קליפ יצולם "בקרוב". אף על פי שהביע עניין בכך שג'נט ג'קסון בעצמה, שכיכבה בסרט משנת 1993 ממנו נלקח שם השיר, תופיע בקליפ,[4] היא לא הופיע בו בסופו של דבר.[5] הקליפ, בבימויו של לאמאר לצד די.ג'יי. דייב ודיינג'רו קיפאווה, פורסם ב-22 בפברואר 2013. הקליפ כולל הופעות קמע של חבריו של לאמאר, הראפרים ג'יי רוק, YG וגלאסס מאלון.[6]
